Extract sections from 3D

    I would hope this is a very simple question to answer.

    I have a 3D model constining pipes and structures. This was developed
    by a laser survey.

    How can I now extract sections from this 3D model?

    I was hoping it is just a matter of drawing a line (on the plan of this
    model) where I want the section and then voila - a new section is
    extracted.

    I don't want to use SLICE as this removes sections of the model. I have
    looked at SECTION but can't quite get it to do waht I want.
