    I have made a bill of materials in Solidworks but want to export it to
    Excel.

    How do I do it?

    Cheers.

    Two methods:

    1. While in the drawing, click on the BOM (so that it's highlighted -
    don't double-click), and go File--> Save As.

    2. Double-click on the BOM, select the entire range of cells, CTRL+C
    (copy).. Open up Excel separately and paste into cell A1.

    Single pick the BOM and then do a FILE SAVE. It will save it as a txt
    file that you can bring into excel. FYI this excel file WILL NOT be
    linked back to the BOM on the drawing.
