Equally dividing vertex fit spacing. How?

    Hello Everyone,
I'm in the process of converting routines I've written that create a mesh
    from a boat
design program for AutoCAD users from another CAD program. The routines are
    plain
vanilla AutoLISP macros and there are other files explaining all this
    included with the
macros as a .zip file that can be downloaded from:
    http://groups.yahoo.com/group/boatdesign/files/Hulls to CAD intiative/
    boatme.zip

In the attached .jpg to this post, you can see the problem that occurs in my
routine during the ACAD trial. The PEDIT FIT option doesn't behave in the
    same manner when
positioning the polyline knots (vertices). I would like to know if there's a
    built-in set of
procedures or a custom routine to equally divide the vertex fit spacing.

    Thanks in advance,
    BobbyG
