Dynamic Block Attributes?

I know with block attributes, you can extract them later for use in other things.

But is it possible to have some of the attributes used dynamically?

I am working on an automating some of the drawings and part of that involves inserting blocks of cabinet modules. I want to be able to drop a block in, have it read the dimension attributes, calculate the new insertion point and then insert the next block. I really don't want to code that in, since there are over 200 blocks of cabinet modules and new ones are added all the time and the blocks won't be in the same place from one drawing to the next.

If there isn't a way to do it dynamically, what would be the best way to do it, without having to do a Select Case that is 200+ items long?
