    I need a program that will open AutoCAD files people send me and then export them to DXF r12 files so I can import them into another cad program to work on. Can someone post a sample DXF r12 exported file so I can see if my other cad program will import it?

    I have posted a sample R12 .DXF for you.....it is in the Customer Files
    NG.....subject " R12.DXF test for agentboa".

    History of the file:

    * created in AutoCAD/ADT 2002 (2000.dwg)
    * cleaned up in LT2002
    * opened in AS9 & saved as R12.DXF

    I have also included a .PDF showing what the drawing SHOULD look like (out
    of ACAD).

    Ric:

    Thanks. It opened with no problem and looked just like the PDF.

    And I enjoyed the photos on your web site.

    I transfer drawings from AutoCAD 2002 LT to AutoSketch and back to
    AutoCAD and there are things that do not come out exactly "right" from
    time to time. I have a good handle on what goes wrong and can quickly
    correct them.

    Add in a third program as it sounds like you will be doing and you may
    have even more issues.

    IF this is for work, I would suggest AutoCAD LT 2005 to ensure you get
    as clean an R12 DXF as possible to transfer into another program.
