Draworder by layer similar to CDOrder

Discussion in 'AutoCAD' started by MarcelGosselin, Nov 16, 2004.

  1. Are there any routines out there that are similar to Express Tools CDOrder that would allow you to set the draworder bylayer and save this selection set for later use. thanks

  2. Try DOBYLAYER.VLX from the Free Stuff section of http://www.dotsoft.com.

  3. Thanks for the reply, the layer sort is great, but our map guy would like to save the sorted layer list either internally in drawing or externally.

  4. Sorry, but the free version doesn't do that.

Cadlantic's LORDER does what you want, including wildcards and an *everything
else* choice. You can save any number of order files, and it remembers the last
one used. It also provides an option for retaining associative relationships
(e.g. leaders and mtext, polylines and hatches, etc.). Sorry, it's not free.

My apologies for sounding like an advertisement. There are probably many
products that will perform similarly. I'm just helping you be aware of one that
    might suit you.

that would allow you to set the draworder bylayer and save this selection set
    for later use. thanks
