draw a perpendicular from a point on the nearest segment of a polyline

Can anyone tell me on how to draw a perpendicular from a point on a polyline with MANY vertexes and not straight. The point should find the nearest segment of polyline and draw a perpendicular to this segment.

Any clues, helps..?

Get the nearest point on the polyline with vlax-curve-getclosestpointo, and the angle by using vlax-curve-getfirstderiv. Regards, Dave
