I have been reading through this discussion group to find out if anyone has come up with a solution to the "Dots in linetypes are printed as squares" problem. I saw some people asking the same question but no solutions. I perused the AutoDesk knowledge base and they posted that it was a known problem but did not offer a solution.

This is bugging me I want dots!!

    Couple thoughts:

    1. If the entities you're trying to plot are polylines and if the polyline width is not set to "0" this could cause your problem. You should set polyline widths to "0" and assign the desired thicknesses with your plot style table.

    2. Also check in your printer settings that ends of lines are set to plot round as opposed to square (some plotters have this as an option).
