DISPLAY ORDER doesn't work!

I hope this is the appropriate group for my problem. I cannot get the lines behind the hatch to show. I tried both- Associative and Non Associative Hatch and have tham bring back but still the lines don't show. I have also regenall and still the lines are hidden. can anyone help?

I found that changing the TREEDEPTH variable to 0 works about 90% of the time
