dimensions are invisible

When creating dimensions in my drawing (Autosketch V6) they don't appear. The layer is current, the color is black, the dimensions are selectable (selection box is the right size but shows nothing within it) and I can inquire about the dimension properties, all of which seem normal to me. The problem persists with each new drawing. I'm pretty sure this problem is self inflicted, but I can't figure out how to fix the problem

If everything else seems correct, you could try reinstalling the program.

Under View>Options>Visibility, be sure there is a check in the "Dimensions"
    box.

Making certain kinds of entities invisible is a useful function when you do
it deliberately to unclutter a drawing you are working on. When it happens
    unconsciously, that's another story.
