Difference between AutoCAD R12 (unix) and AutoCAD 2000

I am finally starting to migrate some designs (+ lisp + menus) from R12
(unix) to autocad 2000. I notice several differences that I can't seem to
adjust. The biggest difference is in my design. The easiest way to explain
is using a snippet of DXF. The following DXF creates some text (noname) that
    is one unit high.

    1
    noname
    3
    NAME:
    2
    MYPROP
    70
    8

In 2000 the text is approximately 850 units high. Is there something I can
set to change this? Also, if I write out version 12 dxf I still get the
group 5 object stuff which did not exist in R12 dxf. Is there a public
domain lex/yacc parser I can get for the latest version of dxf?

    Thanks in advance!
