    Fantastic!!!

    My office just acquired a new KIP a couple of weeks ago. Even though we
    haven't had any issues, it's nice to know that we can get support easily now
    if something should happen.

    As do we, thanks KIP!
    One tip our dealer told us about was to change the line in WinReq.ini that
    says:
    MultipleRequests=CLEAR
    to
    MultipleRequests=TRUE
    and it will "remember" subsequent plot request info.
    As an example, we have KIP Request set to require the fields:
    Requester:
    Job Number:
    Description:
    be filled out.

    Another issue that cropped up for us was, after upgrading to Powerprint
    Request 5.5, our 24"x36" plots were coming out rotated on larger paper,
    which I believe was a margin issue.
    Applying the patch "HotfixR2004_036-Req5597.exe" fixed this for us.
    Which sounds suspiciously like it's for those using AutoCAD 2004, 36" paper
    and version5.5.97. <g>

    I have a suggestion or KIP. We just got a KIP 6000 and it is used quite a bit by people from the shop floor, making copies of dwgs and such. Anyway it has the paper stacker on the back of the machine, we get quite a bit of paper jams from prints leaving the plotter and entering the stacker(I understand there is now a kit to help with this problem) when some people clear the jam in the back of the machine they don't line up the staacker right. This is fairly easy to do if your not paying attention since its a completey seperate machine. My point is this is kind of a crappy design, the stacker either should be part of the plotter or should have some sort of track system to guide it to the right spot.
