Creating hatch patterns

Discussion in 'AutoCAD' started by John Georgiev, Apr 23, 2004.

  1. Hi guys!
How I can create (and save for future use) my own hatch patterns. Of course
I know about User Defined option in the hatch menu, but it's too limited and
also can't be saved for use in other files. I guess there are some AutoLisp
routines to do this - could anybody help me find some?
    Thanks!

  2. It's not done with Lisp, but in text files with the .pat filetype - see the
    Customization Guide in AutoCAD Help.

Maybe there are some lisp routines or third-party programs out there that
could do the "programming" of a pattern for you somehow from drawn
elements.... I haven't used anything like that.
