IN THE LOCATION OF THE PIPE THREADED HOLE, CREATE A REVOLUTION ON A PLANE 90 DEGREES TO THE LOCATION OF THE PIPE TAP THREADED HOLE.
IN OTHER WORDS, IF YOUR PIPE THREADED HOLE IN LOCATED ON THE FRONT PLANE, CREATE YOUR REVOLUTION ON THE RIGHT PLANE.

PLACE A CENTERLINE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE PIPE TAPPED AREA.

THE PLANE INCLINATION OF A PIPE TAP IS 1 DEG,47 MINUTES OR 1.7833 DEGREES.
GO TO MACHINERY HANDBOOK AND LOOK UP THE DIAMETER OF EXTERNAL THREAD FOR YOUR DESIGN PIPE TAP SIZE.
HALF OF THAT VALUE IS THE POINT WHERE YOUR 1.7833 DEGREE LINE STARTS AT THE BEGINNING SURFACE OF YOUR TAP OFFSET FROM YOUR CENTERLINE.

IF YOUR BEGINNING POINT IS ON YOUR LEFT, EXTEND THE 1.7833 DEGREE LINE PAST THE END OF YOUR PIPE TAP THREADED AREA TO THE RIGHT.
AT THE TERMINATION OF THE 1.7833 DEGREE LINE, EXTEND A LINE VERTICALLY DOWN TO INTERSECT THE CENTERLINE,
AFTER INTERSECTING THE CENTERLINE, CONTINUE ADDING ANOTHER LINE HORIZONTALLY ON THE CENTERLINE TO THE LEFT UNTIL IT COINCIDES WITH THE BEGINNING OF THE 1.7833 DEGREE LINE.

ADD LINE UPWARD TO COMPLETE SECTION.

COMPLETE REVOLUTION. YOU NOW HAVE AN ACCURATE REPRESENTATION OF A PIPE TAP THREADED HOLE FOR ANY INDICATED SIZE.

USE COSMETIC THREAD TOOL, HIGHLIGHT NEWLY CREATED REVOLUTION SURFACE AND COSMETIC THREAD WILL BE CREATED.
