Convert psf files to csv

Discussion in 'Cadence' started by Stefan Joeres, Nov 15, 2006.

  1. Hi altogether,

I ran a pretty long transient simulation with >300.000 data points and I
need to export them to a csv (or similar) format.

Unfortunately, when trying to use wavescan, the graph is displayed, but
neither create table nor save as csv produce any output.

It starts to get 100 % processor load, after some seconds it drops again to
zero and ... well nothing happens !

Is there any other (command line?) way to do this ?

I don't want to create a service request with a 11 meg results file to be
uploaded if not necessary ... :)

    Regards,

    Stefan

  3. I would like to recommend looking at the little tool "psf" which is
available in your cadence distribution. Not very much help available,
but if you search on groups.google.com you would probably find some
more info on how you can use that tool. You would probably need to
massage the output of psf with a scripting language. Perl, python and
tcl has nice features for executing command line programs and capture
    the returning data.
