Civil linetype standards for Utilities

Are there any standards for depicting utilities as linetypes with text? My
old copy of Professional Practice of Architectural Working Drawings (Wakita
    & Linde, 1st Ed.) shows S=Sewer, W=Water & G=Gas, but that leaves a few
out. Specifically, I would assume E=Electrical, or P=Power, and C=Cable. But
what about Storm Sewer as compared to Sanitary Sewer? They can't both be SS,
and one as S and the other as SS seems unlikely. Or is the accepted standard
to not use text based linetypes? I looked in my (also old) copy of Civil
Drafting Technology (Madnes & Shumaker, 3rd Ed.) and it had very little
information on how to show utilities, basically one simple drawing with
nothing but Sewer, shown dashed, and a large example plan that is illegible
    in my copy.
Note that I am looking for information for Architectural use, residential
    mostly.

    Thanks,
    Gordon

We use text linetypes all the time in our Civil operation. Here are some we
have defined, (some may reference special shape files we use, and all assume
    standard style is 0 height):

Another option for storm sewer is to use a "D" for "Drainage".
