Changing thickness in Acad2002

When I use the office PC (windows XP) that runs Acad2002 I cannot get
the object properties to appear. The properties window is either
blank or it looks like nothing is selected.

When I save the draing in R14 version I can change the thickness on an
old PC running Acad R14 (too bad it has a 15" CRT).

Is there some service I must enable on Acad2002 that will allow object
    properties to appear?

    TIA,

    HiHo;
You might try "Bubble" from either mcneel.com or http://www.bubblecad.com/
Bubble is an information wizard for objects in an AutoCAD drawing. With
    Bubble you

will know the properties and data of any object only by placing the mouse on
    it.

AutoCAD users used to get this information with the LIST command or by means
    of

the object properties window. Both methods are much less effective than
    Bubble, since

the properties window takes up part of the screen, reducing the space
    available for the

drawing. Furthermore, the user has to select an entity. With this new tool
    you will only

need to move the mouse on the object and wait some seconds so that the
    information

comes out in a compact but sorted way.

  3. Do you mean the Object Properties *toolbar*, and the Lineweight Control on
    it?

No, the properties window. It is always as if nothing is selected.
