Changing the commando prompt when pointing in different directions

    Hello,

    I have a command in wich I want to change the command prompt while pointing
    out to a direction.

    I use (getpoint mpt "\nDirection: ") ;Ortho is on and snap could be
    rotated.

    If I move the crosshair to the left, right, up and down, (not giving a
    point!) I want to display the direction on the command prompt;
    This is not exactly what I want to accomplish, but if someone can help me to
    acheave this, I think I can take it from there.

    Hi Marcel

    If you set sysvar 'COORDS' to 2, distance and angle are displayed in the
    status line...

    Hi Jürg,

    I know, but that's not what I want. I want it just the way I stated...
    It's not about the coords, or text being displayed, but the action I wan to
    connect to this situation when te in that certain angle point is given.
