Cannot fill polygon with solid white

How do you fill a polygon with a solid white color? When I drag the white
color to the polygon, or designate a solid white color, what fills it up is
black. Why?

I am using Autosketch 9, but have had this issue ever since I started with
Version 7.

 

Under "View Options" there are a couple of tic boxes:
Apperance tab - "If same as page color..."
Invert Pen â–¡
Invert Pattern â–¡

Un-tic the "invert Pattern" and you should be OK
