I need to split one VCF file into multiple individual vCard files. My main concern is losing contact information during the process. The VCF file has phone numbers, email IDs, addresses, images, and other saved details. What is the safest way to split a VCF file while keeping all contact fields intact?

Losing contact fields is a common issue when splitting VCF files manually, so I would avoid copy-paste editing. For this, WholeClear Split vCard Software can be a simple option. It splits one VCF file into multiple individual vCard files and keeps contact details like name, phone number, email ID, address, images, URLs, and description intact. It also shows a preview of added contacts before splitting, which helps check the data first.
The tool supports vCard 2.1, 3.0, and 4.0 files. It works on Windows and saves the split VCF files at your selected location. I would still suggest keeping a backup of the original VCF before testing any tool.

Yes, VCF splitting is safe when the file is handled with a proper vCard splitter, not by manual editing. A large VCF file may contain names, phone numbers, email IDs, addresses, images, notes and other contact fields. If the file is opened and cut manually, some fields can break. For this case, ViceVersa Split and Merge vCard Software is a practical option. It can split large VCF files into separate vCard files while keeping contact details and hierarchy intact. It supports vCard 2.1, 3.0 and 4.0, so mixed VCF versions are easier to manage on Windows. Keep one backup copy first. After splitting, open a few output contacts and check numbers, emails and images before using them anywhere.
