Can I remove duplicate VCF contacts without deleting unique phone numbers by mistake?

My contact backup has similar names, but not all of them are duplicates. Some people share company names or have multiple numbers. I need to remove only real duplicate contacts from the VCF file while keeping unique contacts and extra details safe.

Yes, but do not clean the VCF file by opening and editing random contact lines in Notepad. One wrong change can remove a unique mobile number, alternate email, or address field from the contact.
    A safer way is:
    • Keep the original Outlook-exported VCF file as backup.
    • Check whether duplicates are based on same name, same email or same phone number.
    • Clean a copied file first, not the original one.
    • Import the cleaned VCF into Outlook or phone only after checking a few contacts.
If the file has many entries, this safe offline option, WholeClear vCard Duplicate Remover, is a better pick to try. It removes duplicate VCF contacts while keeping contact fields like phone numbers, email IDs, names, photos, URLs, and addresses unchanged.
Before final use, test the demo on a sample VCF and compare 5-10 important contacts with the original file. That small check can save you from losing useful contact details.
