I exported contacts from both Outlook and my iPhone, but after combining the files, many duplicate contacts appeared. Manually comparing names, phone numbers, and email addresses is becoming difficult. Is there a professional vCard duplicate remover that supports VCF files from multiple platforms and removes duplicate contacts while preserving complete contact information?

Yes, this problem is a common issue when Outlook and iPhone contacts are exported together. Both platforms store the same contact in slightly different formats, so duplicates appear after merging VCF files.

You can try a free method first. Import the combined VCF file into Google Contacts, then use the “Merge & fix duplicates” option. It automatically detects similar names, numbers, and emails and combines them.

The limitation is that it doesn’t always catch partial matches or differently formatted entries, especially in large files.

If the list is large, some software packages such as WholeClear vCard Duplicate Remover come in handy as they scan many VCF files at one go and eliminate the duplicate entries.

All you have to do is maintain a copy of the original VCF file since removing duplicates from it may not be an effortless process.
