I need to collect attachments from hundreds of MSG files, but I want to preserve the original attachment names and file types. A manual process could lead to mistakes, so I am searching for a reliable way to extract everything accurately.

Yes, it is possible to extract attachments from a large number of MSG files without changing their original file names or formats.

The problem with doing it manually is that when you open each email one by one, it takes a lot of time and there is also a chance of missing some attachments or saving them with incorrect names. This becomes more difficult when the number of MSG files is high.

A better way is to use a bulk extraction method where all MSG files are processed together and only attachments are pulled out. This keeps the original file names and file types unchanged and saves everything into one folder for easy access.

Softaken MSG Attachment Extractor is one such option that many users use for this purpose. It helps in handling multiple MSG files at once and keeps the attachment data exactly as it is, without renaming or altering anything.
