    Hello all,

I am part of a small Engineering company providing CAD services (designing,
modeling, 2D to 3D conversion, etc.) and I am interested in advertizing
about our CAD services in local CAD magzines in and around Massachussetts,
    Conecticut and Rhode Island.

Can you suggest me CAD magzines that I can look for advertizing. Or, is
there any specific online website/ magazines as well that I look at for
advertizing? My desired audience is CAD Managers, Engineers or Head of
    Engineering Department.

Any suggestions/comments about "how to" advertizing to this audience are
    greatly appreciated.

Unless you are willing to drop serious coin.

    Hmmm.
I guess you are referring to Solidworks, Pro-E, Autocad user groups around
this area etc.. isn't it? The user groups are not that well attended (or
atleast when I visited). Maybe I should try again.

Advertising in CAD magzine is definitely costly. We are ready to spend few
hundred dollars, not really thousands. Not sure what our marketing options
    are..

I agree. And, speaking of which, this NG carried an ad on 10/17 for user group
meeting in New England at PTC headquarters in Needham; didn't seem like such small
potatoes to me. It's at least a place to ask where others do their advertising.

Here are a few national trade magazines:
Mechanical Engineering Magazine from ASME (www.asme.org)
    Machine Design
    Design News
    Desktop Engineering
    Designfax (http://www.manufacturingcenter.com/dfx/)
    Motion System Design (www.motionsystemdesign.com/)
    MDDI (http://www.devicelink.com/)
    There are others as well

some of the professional associations put out newletters. (e.g.--the Boston
section of ASME) You might try that route.
