Ok, so one of our customers uses "upside down" BOM tables.

The column headings are on the bottom of the table, and the items go
1,2,3... UP. ie, the highest numbers are on top and the lowest
    numbers on the bottom.

    example:

    3 1 xx thingy3
    2 1 xx thingy2
    1 1 xx thingy1
    item qty partno name

I tried doing "sort region" with a "backwards" &rpt.index. No workie

How would you guys do it?

I don't know of any way to change a table from Descending to Ascending.
Looks like you'll have to create another one.

Do 'Table>Insert>Table', then select Ascending, Leftward or Rightward, By
Num Chars or Length. Pick a point on the right to build leftward or on the
left to build rightward, then pick column widths on the scale to grow each
column (MMB to finish columns, the widths don't really don't matter much
because you can go back later and adjust the widths. Same with line
spacing.) Then click above to start the Ascending rows. When you've got a
    few rows placed, MMB finish.

Then, on your Ascending table, create a Repeat Region on your second from
bottom row by selecting the row and RMB 'Add repeat region', leaving the
very bottom row for column header text. When you've created the region,
    highlight a cell and RMB
'Report Parameters' until you've filled each cell of the region with the
appropriate report parameter. Then do 'Update Table' and the table should
fill out with all your assembly components.

I always get that when something works, for a change.
