autosketch V6 DFX error

    I am using V6 in XP on an imported DFX file & after reading some of the discussions, found I have been altering fonts, thus causing an error when opening a file. I downloaded the 6.1 patch, which seemed to allow me to open one file ok sometimes. When it did open, I changed the fonts back to cad & it seems ok now. Another file still wont open. I get Error: degenerate hatch vertex data on line 3734. How can I retrieve this file? will a later version help? Should the patch have helped? Do I need to reboot after the patch?
