AutoCAD 2000 - HP1050c - WindowsNT4 - landscape only?

    Hello All:

This problem has appeared a couple of times and I've never found a
workaround. An NT station, for some reason, looses the "portrait" settings
for a page. All of the layouts are either blank or say (landscape). Other,
similarly configured stations are just peachy - no issues.

I applied and reapplied the plot update with no results.

One bizarre (and clearly related) symptom is that the HP1050 printer dialog
box DOES NOT show a tab for adjusting the orientation within the printer
    control panel.

I'm willing to try a completely fresh install but this station was just
setup last month - from a completely clean NT install, patched to the hilt.

Any suggestions for other paths to resolution?

    Thanks in advance.

    I hope it's a netwerk printer, so:

In AutoCAD, remove all instances of the HP1050C.
In NT4, remove all instances of the HP1050C
    Reboot the NT4
Share the HP 1050C on a server, or on another machine called "computerB" that works great. If possible another NT4, otherwize an Win2000.
On the computer A, Start-> Run, fill in \\computerB OK
Indicate the shared plotter once, Right click Install...
This copies over the whole driver and all properties and documetn defaults from the server to computer A.
Test it in windows (excel or so)
    Configure it in AutoCAD.

    Hello Patrick:

Thanks for the reply. We had tried variations on that in the past, this
time, I used your exact steps and, while full success wasn't met, we were at
    least able to discover this:

    1)
printing directly from other app's, we had full options for landscape
printing and could predict, with accuracy, how a page would look when
    rotated.

    2)
printing from AutoCAD and specifiying the printer directly (instead of using
the pre-made PC3) also resulted in satisfactory, predicatble results.

So it would seem that the PC3 is not getting along with his machine. I
remember some odd condition in the dim past with corrupt or disparate PMP
files causing some issues but I can't be sure this is related. It is
strange that the other NT4 boxes have no issues with the PC3 files but this
one, very clean, very new (from an OS standpoint) box is choking.
