Struggling to use the drafting tools in Autosketch 9. How is everyone drawing simple shapes to size? Also, I want to draw a line "x" long at a known angle. Can it be done? Also, is there an offset command?

I've tried to draw a line and then stretch it to a certain length. Not the easiest way of doing it. Any help is appreciated.

There are several ways to accomplish what you are seeking.
Lets say you draw a line, at any angle, any length. You can 'select' that
line, change its length and angle to any you desire with the tools provided
in the edit toolbar that came active when you selected the line (or any
    object)

Once the line is the length and angle needed, you can drag it to any
location, or use the 'translate' tool to move/snap it to another location or
    attach to another line.

If you have fiixed sizes you need to draw to, just one way to accomplish
that is to set guidelines, creating an artificial boundary for your object
    as you create it.
    or
You also have the option of entering exact X Y coordinates for most
    everthing you draw.

May I suggest you spend some time in the HELP files provided with the
    program. Its all there.

Type R for relative coordinates and you can input x y values.

For la line length and angle you can use relative polar coordinates.
Check the help menu for this. I am not sure how to get polar
coordinates but I know they are available.

You might want to look at the icons on the 2D Coordinates screen (R) you mentioned
previously. Second from the left, bottom row.

....not to put too fine a point on it...

    heh
