I am using the KIP2000 plotter and am trying to find a way to streamline imputing information (plot requester, job number, job name, etc.) without having to input this each and every time we plot. Not to mention batch plotting is an issue as well in regards to inputing this information. I am trying to achieve this so I can retrieve the plot log and know who plotted what and how much square footage was plotted for a particular project, so we can backcharge our clients. Does this make sense??

    Thanx

The discussion group search engine provides flexibility for
searching through existing message content. To search:

    1. Go to http://discussion.autodesk.com/

    2. Select a product (Example: AutoCAD and then Print/Plot under
    that).

    3. Type your keywords into the search box and click Search. Note:
You can further refine your query by selecting a specific
discussion group from the dropdown provided. Your group choices
will vary in the drop down, based on where you have navigated on
    the discussion group site.

Search results are sorted by relevance (a complex query of all
relevant content based on your keywords and group choices).
Clicking on the message result will display the entire thread
(the series of messages and replies).

I used the keyword "Kip" without the "" and got 90 hits on that
topic. Hopefully something there will be of use to you.

    Troy,
try www.plotstream.com. A great tool that works with any plotter on the
market. They have plot teacking also.

KIP has a software plotting package that does everything you want, called PowerPrint Request. Ask your KIP dealer if your plotter is compatable. They should furnish you with the software if you have their plotter.

Also, if you are using PowerPrint Request, what version is it and have you
    looked in Options-> Prompt Setup?

If you're using PowerPrint Request, depending on the version, the WinReq.ini
file has an option to retain info between plots.
