On Tuesday they pushed fixes for the "blaster" worm, Win2K SP3 (or SP4) and hotfix 823980 to our PCs. Since then: 1) VIZ 4 corrupts all its files, and Explorer crashes if you just move the cursor over a VIZ file. Autodesk has a bulletin on this, definitely caused by the hotfix. Their main advice for now is to uninstall the hotfix. We can't do that, so VIZ is down for now. 2) A sharp rise in complaints of ADT3 crashes. Not all users, but some who almost never got a crash are getting 1-4 per day. Is this related to the SP or hotfix? Coincidence? 3) Not Autodesk related, but just to show that not just Autodesk was affected: maybe 30% of our PCs couldn't run Office 2000 programs after the service pack and hotfix. They prompt for install CDs, then complain about corrupt patches. We fixed this with "msiregmv", one by one. Any similar experiences?
