alter Sekonic SPL-460 Plotter

Hallo zusammen,

ich probiere es noch einmal
Hier an unserer Schule steht ein alter Sekonic Flachbettplotter vom
Typ SPL-460. Ich wuerde das (ehemals) teuere Stueck gerne wieder
nutzen. Nach einigem rumprobieren habe ich ihn mit einem HP
Standardtreiber wiederbelebt. Zeichnen scheint soweit ok.
Nur wuerde ich auch gerne Folien damit schneiden. Problem... das
Messer laueft *viel* zu schnell. Eine niedrigere Geschwindigkeit
laesst sich zwar in der config einstellen, aber der Plotter reagiert
leider ueberhaupt nicht darauf
Hat jmd zufaellig eine Loesung fuer mein Problem?
Oder existiert irgendwo ein original Treiber dazu (Win 98SE)???

Hi,

My proposition: don't write directly to the plotter, but store the output in
a file. Next insert with an editor after each "SPn;" (Select Pen)
instruction a "VSy;" where y is the wanted pen (cutter) speed in cm/sec. ex.
"VS10" for 10 cm/sec. If the programming of the plotter is HP-GL compatible,
the speed of the selected pen will be programmed.

Nice idea
I would give it a chance.
On the other hand. Didn't the driver do exactly this by itself???
Maybe I will find out this by examing the file with different plot
speeds.
If it works, this would at least be a solution for me. Not for the
pupils or my collegs. Not bad, because I think it's better when only
*I* have hands on the foils
BTW it's the first time that I have to deal with a plotter. Did
*every* plotter know about different plot speeds???
Or could it simply be, that my plotter could only use *one* speed?
