    Hello,
I tried to install acad2000 on my computer. But he won't accept it.It is not
the right OS he said.Only with 95 and 98, ME.
Is there a posible way to run it with XP. I read some where to change the
compability(difficult word !!).Where can I do this. The program is not
    installed on the computer.
    Thanks

Go to Program compatibility wizard and choose the option that it ran
windows 2000 or Windows NT. Leave other options as it is

For as long as I know, you have to install Acad2002 on XP.
I don't know if there exist a patch for installing an earlier version
    on XP.

Can you not just right click on the install file and goto
properties>compatability tab, then select windows 98?

I always thought that would work (admitedly I have never tried it with
    AutoCAD 2000)

I run it here no problem. You just have to ignore any warnings and change
the compatibility as was stated earlier. The only problem I have noticed in
1.5 years is that the text in the MText editor is barely visable in some
fonts and when saving over a file you are prompted two times if you really
want to overwrite. Other than those minor hiccups it has worked great.
