    Hi Guys,

How do you create a non-rectangular viewport in AutoCad LT2005?

Also, is it possible to rotate the drawing within the viewport, without
actually rotating the drawing if you see what I mean.
ie. If I typed the letter T in Modelspace, and then when I came to
arrange PaperSpace that the T didnt fit on in, can I rotate the UCS so
that the T is rotated, without actually rotating it in Modelspace? -
hmmm, this is difficult to explain.

    All help gratefully received.

    Thanks.

Non-rectangular viewports are a feature of full AutoCAD, not LT. However, if
you can get hold of a drawing that was created in full AutoCAD with
polygonal viewports, you can edit them.

To rotate the contents of a viewport, activate the viewport, then use the
DVIEW / TWist command sequence. You can also use a rotated UCS, and then the
PLAN command to set up a viewport rotation; the viewport will "remember" the
UCS, even though you set different ones in Model Space or other viewports..

Get !SlingShot Max from www.drcauto.com. It adds:

XCLIP, VPCLIP (and updated MVIEW command) - you want those
Quick commands to set Point of View - you want those
    Layer commands like LYRFRZ, etc
Some text utilities like Change to UPPERCASE, etc
Full access to the image commands.

The PRO Menu product below gives LT polygonal viewports you can adjust,
rotated views, image insert and many, many more useful features.

    Try the trial version.
