Hi. I'm trying to create a parametric note that has the total number
of instances from a 2D linear pattern in the note. If the pattern has
no skipped instances, my VAR was able to suggest a work-around to get
the number of instances by creating an extra sketch in the model with a
line whose length is equal to an equation something like "D1@LPattern1.
.. . * D2@LPattern1. . .", then using the length of the sketch line in
my parametric note. This works great if no "skipped instances"!! It
must be available somewhere, because the hole wizard hole callout (a
dimension entity) can find the parameter as a <NUM_INST> parameter. I
tried this, and several versions of <NUM_INST> in a note, none worked
for me. Has anyone else found this? What worked?
