I have a custom pc3 file saved on my hard drive for a HP 1050C plotter. I
specified when I set up the file that the default paper size should be
30x42. However, when I go to plot and select the desired 1050C.pc3 device,
the paper size is shown as "Previous Plot (30x42)". This causes the default
paper size in the .pc3 file to go to 8.5"x11". I then must edit the
settings for the .pc3 file to get the correct sheet size again. Is there
any way to prevent it from using the "Previous Plot" setting??

  2. You can filter papersizes in the pc3/pmp file.
Just take out sizes you don't need.
Secondly, in the plotdialog you can select the plotdevice and on the other
tab it should list the papersizes available from the pc3/pmp file.
You select there the correct size, unless you have set it up correctly in
    the layout.

    Good luck
