Is it possible, feasible, whatever... to insert Cells on angled lines,
and have the lines break at the edges of the cells- automatically?

I've created a customized workspace for users on a pretty demanding
project. The tools incorporate user commands (running MicroStation SE)
    on this project.

Being able to reduce the amount of effort to place cells inline would
    be great.

    Anyone have any ideas?

    Kerry,

    Have a look at SmarTools:
SmarTools, a collection of productivity tools for those organisations
directly involved in schematic style drafting.
    Tools include:
    Place Cell/Text and cut line(s)
    Delete Cell/Text and heal line(s)
    Slide Cell/Text heal and re-cut line(s)
Plus 7 other tools to make schematic drafting easy and fast.
    Even works with MultiLines.
